JOEY FORTMAN

HEY, GORGEOUS! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Hi, I’m Joey — a mom of two boys, a lifelong storyteller, and a firm believer that sound can change your life like it has mine.

I was born and raised in small-town Illinois with a Midwest heart... but after a decade in Philly, let’s just say I came out with a bit of an East Coast mouth 😉. These days, I’m living the California dream in Mill Valley, where I drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and through the Robin Williams Rainbow Tunnel. 🌈

For nearly 30 years, I told stories across radio, TV, and digital media — from St. Louis to Chicago, Philly to San Francisco. I was a contributor on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Fox Philly, sharing must-have products for modern moms long before “influencer” was a job title. Back then, when I opened my garage, the neighborhood kids came running. I was basically the Queen of the Cul-de-Sac with products as a travel, tech and toy parenting contributor.

In my early radio days, I interviewed rockstars. Later, I became a “mommy blogger” before blogs became brands. But over time, I saw how fast media changed — and how deeply it impacted my nervous system. After years of hustle, heartbreak, and postpartum depression, I knew I needed a reset.

That’s when I found sound healing — or maybe it found me. The first time I heard the bowls, my whole body whispered, yes. Peace & Pop was born from that moment.

Today, I lead sound baths and soul sessions that mix crystal and Tibetan bowls, chimes, gongs and calming rhythms — no getting wet or pretzel poses required (trust me, I fall over every time!). This work blends everything I love: connecting with people, creating safe spaces, and tuning into something bigger than myself.

I still do fun stuff on Bay Area radio, but this is my soul work — helping others heal, reset, and remember who they really are.

So whether you're a mom, a vet, a burned-out human, or just curious — come find your frequency. Let’s turn down the noise and turn up the peace.

Joey Fortman
