PEACE AND POP SOUND BATH FAQ

  • LET’S BE CLEAR HERE - YOU WILL NOT GET WET WHILE BATHING IN SOUND!

A sound bath is a relaxing experience where you lie down, close your eyes, and let soothing sounds wash over you—like a "bath" for your mind and body. We call it a ‘hug to your nervous system’.

At Peace & Pop, We use instruments like Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, gongs, sea drums… you name it! We help guide you through the feels of life.

  • At Peace & Pop, we like to think of a sound healer as part DJ, part energy guide, and full-on vibe vixen.

We're not diagnosing or doing deep talk therapy—instead, we’re using sound as mind medicine.

With tools like Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, and other magical instruments, sound sessions help you tune out the noise of everyday life and tune into yourself.

We’re there to guide you, hold space for you and create a place for your nervous system to chill, your emotions to breathe, and your energy to reset. Think of us as a playlist for your soul—with a lot more intention and a lot less pressure.

  • As often as your nervous system says, "yes, please." Some come weekly, others pop in once a month. There’s no right answer—just follow what feels good.

At Peace & Pop we know one thing we all need more of: Time. We all run out of time. Yes we need more of it.

    That’s how sound healing works.

Let us tickle your heart with ear candy, cool beats and kindness when you need it the most.

  • NOT UNLESS YOU WANT TO! 🤣

No, there isn’t a wet bath unless you attend our FLOATING SOUND BATH and fall off your float. We haven’t had that happen… yet!

  • Sound therapy feels like your whole body just exhaled after a giant hug between your ears.

It’s like hitting the reset button—from the inside out. You might feel warmth, tingles, or a gentle hum through your chest or limbs. Your mind quiets down, your breath slows, and suddenly you're not thinking—you’re feeling.

It can feel like floating, dreaming, or just being really grounded.

Some release old emotions, others just nap like a baby. Sound healing shows up the way you show up.

Bring an open mind and an open heart and you with feel exactly what you came for. ❤️

  • It might—and that’s a good thing.

At Peace & Pop, we believe sound therapy doesn’t just help you relax, it helps you release. The vibrations move through your body and can stir up old emotions, even ones you didn’t realize you were holding onto. Some people laugh, some cry, some just feel a big emotional sigh.

It’s like your body finally says, “Oh hey, I don’t need to carry this anymore.”

But don’t worry—it’s all gentle, nothing is forced, and you’re held in a safe space the entire time. Emotions are welcome here. Snoring is too. 🤣

  • You tell us!

    We’re just the messenger.

In the beginning you will set your intention. How much space in your brain are you willing to give to yourself.

Your intentions will be reminded to you in many ways but you have to be open to it. ❤️

We do get tons of feedback. Some feel lighter, calmer, and clearer. Some feel super sleepy, others energized.

Drink water, rest, and give yourself space afterward to process the experience. It’s called healing for a reason. Let science & nature take its course. (It’s so weird but so real!)

  • We do our very best to set the space for you & your experience. With mats, eye masks, blankets and pillows in a boho California way.

Bring a water bottle, your favorite mat, eye mask, blanket and pillow if you want to too! You need to feel like your most comfortable self. ❤️

  • WEAR YOU!

If you’re doing the Floating Sound Bath - you’ll want to dress light. You won’t get wet but you’ll be floating on a mattress.

For all the experiences inside and out - dress for you but remember this is the Bay Area. Wear layers. #IYKYK

  • Tibetan singing bowls are traditionally made from a blend of metals (usually 5–7, including copper, tin, and iron). They have a rich, grounding, earthy sound—think warm and resonant, like a gentle hum that stays with you. These bowls are often used in traditional meditation practices and feel very connected to ancient energy.

Crystal singing bowls are made from pure quartz crystal and tend to sound brighter, clearer, and more high-vibe. They create strong, pure tones that can feel more intense or activating. You’ll often hear them used in modern sound baths because their tones can really fill a room.

    In Peace & Pop terms?
Tibetan bowls are like soulful jazz—deep, moody, and comforting.
Crystal bowls are like pop ballads—clean, emotional, and powerful.

Both are beautiful. Both are healing. And depending on what your body or spirit needs, one might hit just right on any given day. here

  • Great question!

Think about it for a sec. How much does music move you? How does dancing make you feel? All the feels! That’s why we bring the best of the Bay Area to teach you choreo to your favorite jams! Then we take it to a slow jam with a sound bath.

  • Short answer: depends.

If they’re old enough to be still and quiet for up to 90 minutes, yes. However, most events are adult-only to keep the vibe without interruption. (Let’s face it - if your kid is there would you really relax?)

But stick around. We are planning playful family sessions too!

  • Totally!

Sound healing isn’t about belief—it’s about biology. The frequencies and vibrations affect your brainwaves, nervous system, and body whether you’re a skeptic or a crystal-loving superfan.
